Future Goals
Some of our goals for the future include: Community Workshops: Offer workshops on cooking, nutrition, gardening, budgeting, and other life skills. These workshops can empower individuals to make healthier choices and become more self-sufficient. Collaborations with Local Businesses: Partner with local businesses and organizations to create a support network. This could include collaborating on fundraising events, donation drives, or other initiatives that benefit the community and HARVEST.. Volunteer Opportunities: Provide opportunities for community members to get involved as volunteers. This can help strengthen the community's sense of belonging and ownership while expanding our organization's reach. Partnerships with Educational Institutions: Work with schools, colleges, or universities to develop educational programs that focus on food waste reduction, sustainability, and community development. Advocacy and Awareness: Raise awareness about the issue of food waste and its environmental impact. Advocate for policies and practices that encourage food donation and redistribution and sustainable food production and consumption. Collaborative Events: Organize community events, such as food fairs, picnics, or markets, where individuals can come together to share food, resources, and experiences. Online Presence: Maintain an active online presence through social media platforms and our website. Share success stories, volunteer opportunities, and educational resources to engage the community and attract potential supporters. Feedback and Evaluation: Regularly gather feedback from the community to assess our programs' impact and identify improvement areas. We aim to tailor our initiatives to better meet our community's needs.
